Greetings! I wanted to share with you some of the "Bright Spots" I'm seeing here at EPI within my time as the Interim Executive Director.
Making a year-end contribution to the Exceptional Persons Foundation is an opportunity to ensure that individuals in your community have access to the assistance they need.
Needs can be fulfilled on EPI's website from November 9 through December 18.
By supporting EPI with a gift to the greatest need, you can help protect critical services when funding gaps arise and ensure the stability of our DSP workforce during increasingly uncertain times.
To fulfill someone's holiday wish may not seem like much sometimes, but for someone who may not otherwise receive a gift, it's everything. That single gift lets them know that someone in the community is thinking about them. And honestly, is there any better feeling than giving the exact gift on someone's list and making their day?
Our goal is simple - to provide safe, affordable, and enriching child care to families. You can help make that possible!
EPI's 6th annual More Than You See benefit was a huge success! We had a record breaking year, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us for a memorable night to support a very important cause.
There is no better way to celebrate the holidays than by giving to others. The feeling you get when watching someone open the perfect gift you found or knowing you gave a gift to someone who wouldn't normally receive one is heartwarming and hard to match.
As 2016 draws to a close, we remember all the experiences we have had. Whether these moments have been good, bad or in-between, 2016 was another year we were able to have these experiences, build relationships, and spend time doing the things we love.
2016's More Than You See dueling pianos, silent auction benefit will be better than ever! New date, new location, new dueling pianos! This is an event you won't want to miss.

But, do you know about #GivingTuesday? {Continue reading for more about #GivingTuesday - what it's all about and how YOU can be a part of it!}
It happened every year. I'd get to the end of my holiday shopping and one or two names would continue staring back at me, refusing to submit to the will of my frenzied shopping. Someone please tell me, just what exactly do you get for that loved one who has everything? {Continue reading for ideas}
Barbara was born on October 19, 1921, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She later married Ralph Emerson. The two moved a couple of times until settling in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area for a number of years in part because their daughter, Barbara Diane Emerson, was placed at the Woodward community.
In 2013, only 17.6% of persons with a disability were employed.* For persons served by EPI you helped countless persons with disabilities realize their dream to work in the community.
