posted on Monday, September 1, 2025

We’re proud to share that Maghan Bowman, Executive Operations Director at Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI), has been elected to serve a two-year term as the Board of Representatives liaison on the ANCOR Leadership Development Committee (LDC).

ANCOR (American Network of Community Options and Resources) is a national organization representing providers of services to people with disabilities. The LDC plays a vital role in shaping ANCOR’s future by identifying and mentoring emerging leaders and advising the Board of Directors on appointments to key leadership positions.

What This Means for EPI
Maghan’s election is a testament to her leadership, vision, and dedication to inclusive services. It also reflects EPI’s growing presence on the national stage — reinforcing our commitment to advocacy, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.

Her role will allow EPI to:

  • Influence national policy conversations
  • Strengthen our advocacy network
  • Elevate the voices of Iowans with disabilities
  • Contribute to shaping the future of disability services across the country

We’re thrilled to see Maghan representing EPI and Iowa in this important leadership role.

“Maghan’s election to ANCOR’s Leadership Development Committee is a proud moment for EPI. Her passion for advocacy and her commitment to excellence make her a perfect fit for this role. We know she’ll bring thoughtful leadership and a strong voice for inclusive services to the national stage,” shared Katie Slade, EPI's Executive Director.

When asked about her newly appointed leadership role, Maghan shared, “I’m honored to serve in this role and represent EPI and our community at the national level. I’m excited to help shape the future of leadership within ANCOR and continue advocating for policies that support people with disabilities and the professionals who serve them.”

Maghan’s leadership role is not only a personal achievement — it’s a reflection of EPI’s growing voice in shaping the future of disability services nationwide.
