Vaccine News

Last EPI Hosted Vaccination Clinic for 2nd Dose/Booster Vaccination Clinic April 7 and 8, at the Deery Center
  • It takes time for your body to build protection after any vaccination. COVID-19 vaccines that require 2 shots may not fully protect the person receiving one until two weeks after your second dose.
Vaccination Eligibility Opens up April 5 - As Supply Increases
Here are some resources to share with your friends and family members around the vaccination as eligibility opens up.

Virus News

Short-term Caution, Long-term Hope - Experts believe if we can keep our precautions going a while longer, while more and more community members receive the vaccine, we could see the pandemic improve this summer.

>> Action: Stay strong in your conviction. Continue to wear your well-fitting mask, social distancing, hand washing, symptom checks, etc. There are no changes to EPI procedures.

Visitors - EPI procedures remain the same. At the same time, EPI continues to promote and recognize visits with loved ones are vital to the people we support.

>> Action: If you need advice or ideas (whether that be virtually or in person) on how to safely coordinate a visit, please reach out to your team.

Ventilation an Important Prevention Strategy - Ventilation is an important COVID-19 prevention strategy. Spring has sprung so let's take advantage of the outdoors more and more.

>> Actions:
  • Bring in as much outdoor air as possible, including in transportation vehicles.
  • Ensure heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) settings are maximizing ventilation.
  • Filter and/or clean the air in your environment.
More Than You See - Typically around this time of year we'd be hosting our signature fundraising event, More Than You See. While it is still not safe to gather in large crowds we are working on a creative virtual alternative this year.

>> Action: Stay tuned. More information to come.
