Join Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI) and Riverview Center for a free training focused on abuse and neglect awareness, prevention, safety, and self-advocacy.

This presentation is open to staff, persons served, family members, caregivers, community partners, and members of the public. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of abuse and neglect, understand ways to seek help, build self-advocacy skills, and respond to concerns in a supportive, trauma-informed manner.

Topics will include:

  • Understanding abuse and neglect, including different types
  • Recognizing signs and indicators of abuse and neglect
  • Strategies to help prevent abuse and neglect
  • Communicating concerns and accessing support
  • Building confidence in self-advocacy
  • Responding to disclosures in a trauma-informed way

This training supports EPI's commitment to creating safe, respectful environments where people are empowered to live, learn, and thrive.
