EPI first opened it's doors in 1957 to adults with disabilities, hosting a work activity center. 

Expansion followed:
  • Transportation services in 1961
  • Residential support in 1969
  • Child Care Resource and Referral in 1976
  • Supported community living for adults in 1982
  • Residential services for adults with traumatic brain injuries in 1984
  • Day services and Supported Employment in 1995
  • CARF Accreditation in 2004

EPI was honored 50 years ago to begin serving our community and will continue  as the needs grow and change.  Thank you for your support over the years!

 

Exceptional Persons, Inc. supporting people with disabilities - strengthening families - serving communities

EPI is a non-profit agency that focuses services for two identified service groups- individuals with disabilities and families with child care needs. 

We foster active community participation of the individuals and families we serve while respecting and encouraging their preferences and choices.

Our services include:

  • Family and children's support services
  • Community, residential, day services and employment services for adults with disabilities
  • Affordable residential rental opportunities for eligible tenants
  • Transportation services

EPI Responds to Needs in the Community by:

  • Coordination of community resources
  • Collaboration with other organizations
  • Creation, development and provision of identified service needs
