Day Habilitation

Day Habilitation services assist in developing or maintaining life skills and community integration. Day Habilitation is individually tailored supports which assist with the acquisition, retention, or improvement in skills related to living in the community. 


Services enable or enhance:

  • Intellectual functioning
  • Physical and emotional health and development
  • Language and communication development
  • Cognitive functioning
  • Socialization and community integration
  • Functional skill development
  • Behavior management
  • Responsibility and self-direction
  • Daily living activities
  • Self-advocacy skills
  • Mobility

Two Tailored Programs

  • Serving persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Serving persons with mental illness

Community Based Services

Day Habilitation at EPI focuses on community based services where individuals have the opportunity to grow, develop, and increase independence as the result of participating in meaningful activities. Activities meet one or more of the 
following criteria:

  • Giving back to the community
  • Increasing or maintaining stamina
  • Increasing community integration
