Child Care Scholarship

EPI is committed to helping families find safe, reliable, and affordable child care. Through the support of the Guernsey Charitable Foundation and R.J. McElroy Trust we are able to offer qualifying families scholarship funding to help with the expense of child care. 

Scholarships funds will be distributed on a first come first serve basis after review by EPI’s Leadership Team. Funding will be approved for one calendar year from application award date. Applications can be resubmitted each year. Funds awarded will be provided directly to the Hawkeye Child Development Center - ALC for assistance and distributed evenly throughout the award year. Scholarship approval will be based on funding availability.

To Qualify

  • Family must meet income guidelines
  • Families have applied to for DHS Child Care Assistance
  • Family must attend the Hawkeye Child Development Center - ALC located at 120 Jefferson Street, Waterloo

Hawkeye Child Development Center - ALC Scholarship Application

All information will remain confidential. A separate application will need to be filled out if you are applying more than one child.

Please note that should your enrollment status change for whatever reason, the scholarship amount distributed weekly will also change.

Must include all sources of income: gross wages, self-employment, welfare payments, pension, retirement, child support, alimony, etc.

If no, please contact the Center Director for information. You will be required to apply for DHS Child Care Assistance prior to applying for scholarship assistance.
