We Are Blessed
November 24, 2009 -- We at Exceptional Persons, Inc. (EPI) have so much to be thankful for this year. As Thanksgiving draws near we’d like to take just a moment to share a few of our blessings with you.
- We are thankful for the smiles we now see on the faces of the men from Atalissa. We rejoice knowing the living conditions they had once known are in their past and their futures are warm and bright. We are thankful for the outpour of support our friends, neighbors and perfect strangers showed to the men as they began a new phase of their lives at EPI.
- We are thankful for the many persons who recognize the challenges our families face and give so generously of their resources. Your gifts are especially timely this year as our state funding faces a bumpy road ahead.
- We are thankful for the many shoppers who come out to support the Exceptional Bargains store each month and the individuals with disabilities working there who are training for a job in the community.
- We are thankful for our volunteers who help in our children and adult programs as well as on our volunteer Board of Directors and Foundation Board. We know you have many choices in where to give of your time – we thank you for choosing the individuals we serve to receive your time, talents and passion.
- We are thankful for our dedicated staff working with compassion each day to provide quality service in each interaction.
- Last, but certainly not least, we are thankful for the children and adults with disabilities and the children, families and child care providers in the community we serve. We cherish the relationships we have with you and are thankful for the joy you bring to our lives.
As you count your blessings this holiday season, know we’re counting you as one of ours. Thank you for your interest in the work EPI is doing. |
