About Exceptional Bargains
EPI purchases truckloads of merchandise, which consists of over-runs, overstocked items, new items, discontinued items, store returns, floor models, and buy-backs from various large retailers. Merchandise includes house wares, toys, tools, hard and soft goods, sporting goods, and just about anything, you would see in a large retail chain such as Wal-Mart, K-mart, Sears, etc. EPI then sells the merchandise for wholesale thus providing customers with great value while helping individuals with disabilities find employment opportunities.
Exceptional Bargains provides meaningful employment opportunities for a variety of individuals with disabilities. Some of the job duties the individuals are assigned include unloading trucks, breaking down pallets and boxes, pricing merchandise, placing items on shelves/merchandising, sorting miscellaneous items, hauling/lifting boxes, running the cash register, sacking merchandise, customer greeters and cleaning. The store allows us to serve individuals with a wide variety of skill levels and provides much needed employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
In addition to employing people with disabilities, Exceptional Bargains also employs people without disabilities and relies heavily on community volunteers. This provides for a fully integrated workplace and enables individuals with disabilities to prepare for individual job placements in the community.
