Staff must have the ability to work flexible hours; evenings, weekends, overnights and some holidays. Positions have a variety of schedules. Some full time positions may require sleeping at the site. NO FIRST SHIFT AVAILABLE. High school diploma or equivalent needed.
Direct Support Staff for persons with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or mental illness - Full and Part Time
Staff must have the ability to work flexible hours; evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Positions have a variety of schedules. AA degree in human service field required or 2 years experience working as Direct Support with persons with TBI or mental illness.

Extensive training is provided in all job positions at time of hire, as needed, and on an on-going basis. Required training includes Mandatory Reporter, Medication Management, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, and OSHA "Right To Know". Training such as Overview of Disabilities, Confidentiality and Ethics, Managing Children, and Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination are examples of additional training that supports quality service and employee confidence.
Opportunities for Students
The positions described above provide excellent experience for students majoring in special education, elementary education, early childhood development, social work, family services, psychology, sociology, therapeutic recreation, and the health services field. Often, students choose to work full-time during the summer months, and reduce to part-time during the school year.
